Gym! Jõhvi Opens Its Doors at Jewe Center

Gym!, the rapidly expanding Estonian sports club chain, has opened its thirteenth gym in Jõhvi, located on the second floor of the Jewe Center. The Jewe Center is owned and managed by East Capital Real Estate AS.

Gym! Jõhvi is a brand-new, 720 m² modern fitness space, open 24/7 and designed for everyone - from beginners to experienced athletes.

According to East Capital Real Estate, the opening of Gym! is an important step in the center’s renovation, aiming to turn Jewe Center into a place where people can not only shop, but also work out, dine, and enjoy their free time in a comfortable environment.

“The new sports club will bring in new visitors, especially on weekday mornings and evenings, helping to increase foot traffic,” said Anneli Mänd, Manager of Jewe Center.

“We’re excited to bring the people of the Jõhvi region a top-notch sports club that’s open 24 hours a day and accessible to everyone - a place where anyone can take a step toward a healthier, more active lifestyle. With the opening of Gym! Jõhvi, we’re raising the standard for fitness in the region by offering a modern, comfortable space with everything you need to reach your goals. Our aim is to make working out simple, affordable, and enjoyable,” said Ats Lahi, CEO of Gym Estonia.

Gym! Jõhvi is open 24/7, and visitors can access the club contact-free via an app available for free from both Google Play and the Apple App Store.

The collaboration between East Capital Real Estate and Gym! began in 2024, when the sports club opened its doors at the Kerese Center in Narva. After the success of that partnership, it was decided to bring Gym! to Jewe Center as well.

The opening event on October 23rd of Gym! Jõhvi featured a variety of fun challenges, and the first members enjoyed special discounts.

East Capital plans to further develop the Jewe Center concept by adding office spaces, and additional beauty and health services. Together with the opening of Gym! Jõhvi, these additions aim to further improve the well-being of local residents.

Gym Eesti OÜ, operating under the Gym! brand, currently runs eight clubs in Tallinn, three in Tartu, and one in Narva. The company plans to open several new gyms across Estonia this year and next. Gym! gyms are accessible 24/7 without physical contact - members can enter using only their smart devices, with no need for cards or key fobs.
